Jeans Over 40--Is Low-rise Too Low?

jeans

My teenage daughter keeps trying to get me to wear low-rise jeans. Okay, I understand that the waist-almost-up-to-my-boobs jeans are not flattering. And I'm completely over the need to wear pleated pants. (Thank you, What Not to Wear, for saving me from my bad style choices.) But I still can't go with the whole, super-low rise thing. I just think I look silly in them. I am, however, completely hooked on mid-rise (just-below-the-belly-button) jeans, mostly in dark washes, with a slight flare leg. Try them, they look good on anyone. Trust me. They do.

I am a 33 year old male and I think low rise jeans are a bit much on anybody. The plumber look never appealed to me, However Nothing is more sexy than a nice tight pair of jeans on a woman. No matter what age, as long as she has some junk in the trunk I say show it off.

Okay, all I can think of is Mom Jeans. And I'm totally cracking up! I'm on the mid-rise bandwagon already, though.

My significant other would definitely second the any tight jeans on a woman are hot theory.

Being short-waisted, low-rise jeans are perfect for me, glad they're back on the scene.

Yeah, I thought of Mom Jeans too. As long as you're not wearing those, you're A-okay.

You are right...I love my boot cut/flare leg jeans with a slight low-rise...just under the bellybutton. :)
